Marine Ecosystem Reference Guide (West Coast Aquatic)
As a GIS consultant for West Coast Aquatic, I helped maintain the Marine Ecosystem Reference Guide (MERG) web application and provided guidance for new initiatives. My responsibilities included:
- Updating and managed map layers.
- Providing web development services to create an online help guide.
- Managing the back-end (Amazon Web Services) and web analytics.
- Advising on strategies for collaboration with other organizations.
- Designing and creating a help guide document with Adobe Illustrator.

Samples of my work in the Facilities department at the University of Calgary. My projects included emergency evacuation mapping and web app development.
2017 Calgary Arts Programming Venues and their Accessibility to Transit (Project from November 2018 Datathon)
This project is a proof-of-concept analysis showing which arts venues may be accessible by transit (within 400m of a bus stop or train station).

Tech Workshops (STEM Learning Lab)
In my role as a Coding & Data Specialist at STEM Learning Lab, I created original curriculum and delivered workshops to students, teachers, and adults. I taught languages and topics such as Python, HTML/CSS, JavaScript, Raspberry Pi, Arduino, wearable tech (StitchKit & Micro:Bit), and 3D printing.
Highlights of my role included:
- Teaching two modules (physical computing and web development) as a guest instructor for a high school computer science class.
- Creating and teaching a website-building course for adults.
- Delivering a wearable tech workshop for Chic Geek's women-in-tech conference (Geeky Summit) using StitchKit Arduino programming.
- Creating original lessons and programs as a curriculum developer.
- Providing professional development for teachers in schools in Alberta and Saskatchewan.

Map Book with Python (Calgary Bike Paths)
I wrote two Python scripts using the ArcPy mapping module to create a multi-page map booklet showing Calgary bike paths.
